Running back Nick Booth, a 6-foot-2, 225-pounder who played at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill., will play for Arizona beginning this season.

"The coaches came out and looked at my film a couple of weeks ago and started getting really serious," Booth said.

Last season Booth rushed for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns on 173 carries. He also had six receptions for 143 yards and one touchdown.

"I balance a little bit of speed with power," Booth said. "I have balance with the two. I have 4.4 speed (in the 40-yard dash), so I can make things happen as a big-play guy."

Booth will have two years of eligibility with Arizona.

COMMENTARY: Although Booth appears to be for real, this pickup is a bit strange given that Nic Grigsby is slated to start, Xavier Smith backing him up and incoming freshmen Keola Antolin and Greg Nwoko will compete for playing time.
