Carmel Catholic High (Mundelein, Ill.) tight end Jack Baucus gave his solid verbal to the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday for the 2009 class.

The 6-foot-6, 233-pounder, whom Rivals rates a three-star player, chose Tuscon over several schools, including Colorado, Akron, Illinois, NIU and Miami (Ohio). Offensive line coach and running game coordinator Bill Bedenbaugh is credited as the primary.

COMMENTARY: The fourth overall commitment for coach Mike Stoops’ 2009 class, Baucus is the first to pledge to Arizona in a month and a half.
