Auburn Tigers offensive guard Tyronne Green is a 6-foot-2, 309-pounder who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.24 seconds.

Prior to joining Auburn, Green, only a two-star defensive tackle prospect, played for Woodham High School in Pensacola, Fla. He was big and strong back then, having reportedly benched 330 pounds and squatted 525.

Auburn career: Green moved to the offensive line from the D-line during his redshirt freshman season. As a sophomore O-linemen, Green got plenty of playing time.

Green went on to start 25 straight games at guard for the Tigers over the last two seasons. As a junior in 2007, he received the Ken Rice Award, which is given to Auburn’s best blocking lineman. He followed that up by being named to Phil Steele’s all-SEC third team for the '08 campaign.

Green recently accepted an invitation to play in the upcoming Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 24.

Intangibles: Green is a smart player and a hard worker who overcame a lot to become a longtime starter on a strong SEC club. He’s also seen it done right, as he formerly backed up Ben Grubbs (now with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens).

NFL draft prediction: Green looks like a sixth- or seventh-rounder, but a strong Senior Bowl performance could raise his stock to the fifth.
