The Auburn Tigers' offense needs playmakers at wide receiver, which has now been the case for a while. Former sophomore defensive back Harry Adams seems to have the ability, particularly the speed.

"Even when he was at DB, I was still recruiting him," wide receivers coach Troop Taylor said of Adams. "It will take time. The good thing about it is he's smart enough to do it, he's talented enough to do it and now it's going to be about whether he's willing to do it. I'm going to find that out pretty quickly."

Adams was moved to the receiver position last Wednesday, and the former Florida state champion in the 100- and 200-meter sprint immediately added a deep threat to the rotation. The best part is that changes were noticed right away.

"He's a kid who went out there and made plays [Wednesday]," Taylor said last week. "That really got me excited about the potential of what he can do."

Running back Ben Tate is an advocate of Taylor's position switch.

"I just like the idea of throwing him a 'go' ball," said Tate. "He'll go up and get it. I'm glad he's over at wide receiver now."

Perhaps Adams will unexpectedly becoming the playmaking wideout the Tigers need.
