Since Alabama head coach Nick Saban took over the Crimson Tide's reins in 2006, things have changed significantly on the recruiting front. With Saban at the helm, Alabama has netted two straight top-ranked recruiting classes, according to some experts. On the other hand, the rival Auburn Tigers haven't exactly been pulling in their share of stellar recruits.

Luckily for Auburn, though, things have been changing since new coach Gene Chizik took over earlier this year. In this article, we'll discuss six top 10 prospects for the 2010 class (according to Rivals) who are considering Alabama, Auburn or both.

2 (ranking). Lache Seastrunk (considering Auburn): Seastrunk is a 5-foot-11, 192-pound running back from Temple, Texas, who is second on the Rivals 100. He benches 250 pounds, squats 500 pounds, possesses a 35-inch vertical leap, and reportedly runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

Beyond that, he's rushed for 3,073 yards and 33 touchdowns over the past two seasons combined. The bottom line is that if production is the true key to guessing at someone's potential, Seastrunk should be a great player at the next level.

3. Darius White (considering Auburn): This 6-4, 205-pound wide receiver from Fort Worth has 4.5 speed and a 40-inch vertical jump, making him a nightmare for would-be defenders in the end zone.

Combined, White has racked up 1,802 yards receiving and 27 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

4. Marcus Lattimore (considering both Auburn and Alabama): This 5-11, 210-pound RB from Duncan, S.C., is both strong (benches 270 and squats 440) and athletic (boasts 4.6 speed and a 32-inch vertical). But it's his production that really causes people to turn their heads.

After all, we're talking about a player who put up 2,303 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns last season.

8. Jeff Luc (considering Alabama): Everybody likes their inside linebackers to offer a little extra pop with their tackles, and that means explosiveness and leg strength. Well, Luc reportedly squats 700 pounds. How's that for pop?

Beyond that, this 6-1, 230-pounder from Port St. Lucie, Fla., boasts 4.67 speed and accumulated 125 total tackles last season (21 for a loss) and nine sacks.

He's simply a machine.

9. DeMarcus Milliner (considering both Alabama and Auburn): How does 57 tackles and seven interceptions sound? For a 6-1, 180-pound cornerback with 4.45 speed, it sounds awfully good. Both Alabama schools are looking to nab Milliner, who is also quite strong for his position.

10. Lamarcus Joyner (considering both Alabama and Auburn): Joyner (5-8, 166) doesn't have great size, but his 4.53 speed is adequate, and his 32-inch vertical is better than solid. But the bottom line is that this cornerback is a tackling machine who has tallied 206 over the last two seasons combined. Last year, he also added five touchdowns on kick returns, 274 yards rushing, and 472 yards receiving.

Two things, Joyner's burst and versatility, have the scouts salivating.
