Let's play the name game: William Andrews, Bo Jackson, Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown. . . What do these running backs have in common? Well, they all played for Auburn. There's a reason, no matter how bad the entire offense has been the past two seasons, that people often say that Auburn is "Running Back U," and those names are a part of it.

But how do the Tigers get back on track? Well, the biggest problem hasn't actually been the quality of their running backs. Rather, it's been their offensive line play and lack of a passing game (teams have not been forced to be honest against the Tigers). The line will be better this season. The passing game? We'll see. Regardless, the backs are still talented. Still, it wouldn't hurt to have something occur that announces they're back in a big way. Something like Temple, Texas, RB Lache Seastrunk deciding to come to the Plains.

Seastrunk is the second-rated 2010 prospect in the nation for a reason -- he's outstanding. The 5-foot-11, 192-pounder possesses 4.5 speed, can squat 500 pounds, and reports a 35-inch vertical leap. That's the good part. Here's the great part: He rushed for 3,073 yards and 33 touchdowns over the last two seasons. And that's in Texas, where high school competition is elite.

The good news is that Seastrunk has Auburn in his sights. An improved season in 2009 by the Tigers might compel him to make a commitment. And that combined with a solid ground attack in 2009 would once again announce that the Auburn running game is back.
