Just a few weeks after inheriting the starting quarterback job, Chad Hutchinson has been cut by the Chicago Bears. Hutchinson stepped into the starting role after Rex Grossman went down with a broken ankle. He struggled mightily in his two starts, going 20 of 42 for 211 yards with 4 INTs and no TD passes, while rookie Kyle Orton excelled.

Now Kyle Orton will be given the starting nod, newly acquired veteran Jeff Blake will be the backup, Kurt Kittner will be the third stringer, and Chad Hutchinson is looking for work.

The Chicago Bears hope to have Rex Grossman back by late November, but if Kyle Orton excels there is no guarantee that Grossman will return to the starting role.
