Bears cut Benson in wake of second arrest

The Bears waived RB Cedric Benson, the fourth overall pick of the 2005 draft, less than a week after his second arrest in under a month.

Benson was arrested on suspicion of DWI in Austin, Texas, June. 7, and he was arrested and charged with boating while intoxicated on May 5, also in Austin.

Benson had 1,593 yards and 10 touchdowns in 35 career games with Chicago.
