LAKE FOREST, Illinois - The Chicago Bears hired former UCLA assistant coach Don Johnson as the team's defensive line coach Wednesday. Johnson replaces Karl Dunbar, who left the Bears after last season to become the assistant head coach and defensive line coach at LSU.

Johnson, 50, has been a college coach since 1987, when he was an assistant at Riverside Community College in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. He has been at UCLA since 2000 and coached the defensive line since 2001. He has also made stops at Cal State-Fullerton and Nevada.
