According to loquacious Bengals wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco, it's not the slew of injuries or sagging offense that has led to the worst start of his career.

He thinks it's punishment for demanding a trade during the offseason.

Ocho Cinco told reporters Wednesday that his rants and raves in the offseason made it unlikely that he would come back and expect to be used in the same way he had been in his career.

Commentary: Ocho Cinco has 19 catches for 216 yards and one touchdown in 2008, a year that's seen quarterback Carson Palmer banged up and set to miss his third game. Cincinnati also let go of veteran tackle Willie Anderson and has seen its running game average a league-worst 3.1 yards per carry. All of these things have a part in Cincinnati's offensive demise, but it'll be even harder to get the team to rally around backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick if Ocho Cinco is throwing out subtle jabs at the organization.

Ocho Cinco also played doctor earlier this week. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, he said it'd be in Palmer's best interest to sit out the rest of the season.

Fan Pulse: Fans on the Bengals Zone message board are wondering whether Palmer should listen to Ocho Cinco and shut it down for the year.

Fantasy Football Update: The Bengals have, statistically, the worst offense in the NFL right now, and their players are bye-week options at best in terms of fantasy football.

Injury Watch: Cincinnati has already ruled Palmer out of Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Center Kyle Cook and linebacker Corey Mays will also miss.
