Bengals win battle of Ohio

The Cincinnati Bengals succeeded in their attempt to sweep Cleveland for the battle of Ohio this season. The Bengals defeated the Browns 27-13 in week one, and came out on top again on Sunday 23-20. Cincinnati improves their record to 10-3, while Cleveland drops to 4-9. The Bengals can clinch the AFC North with a win at Detroit next week.

Carson Palmer had a slow day, never getting comfortable in the pocket. He completed 13 of 27 passes for 93 yards, and a touchdown. Rookie QB Charlie Frye had a decent day for the Browns, completing 16 passes for 138 yards, and 1 score. Rudi Johnson led the Bengals offense today, rushing for 169 yards on 30 carries, along with 1 touchdown. Chad Johnson had a quiet day, catching 2 passes for 22 yards. T.J Houshmandzadeh caught 6 passes for 53 yards and a score. Each kicker had a great day, but Shayne Graham kicked the game winning 37 yard field goal. Each team had an interception.

Pittsburgh was able to overcome the Chicago defense, and defeat the Bears 21-9, to keep pace in the AFC North. The Steelers to Minnesota next week.
