The Cincinnati Bengals signed center Rich Braham to a 2 year deal. The move was somewhat surprising after the Bengals acquired 2 rookie centers. Cincinnati used their fourth round draft pick on Central Michigan's Eric Ghiaciuc and afterwards signed free agent Ben Wilkerson from LSU.

Braham started all 10 contests in which he participated during 2004. Injuries caused him to miss the other 6 games.

The former West Virginia Mountaineer began his career with the Bengals in 1994. Since then, he has started 125 of the 129 games he has played for the ballclub. The 34 year-old Braham is beginning his 12th season in the NFL.
