According to the NFL Network's Adam Schefter, Buffalo Bills left tackle Jason Peters will end his summerlong holdout and report to the team Saturday. Seeking a new contract, Peters held out all offseason; as a result, he missed spring organized team activities, summer training camp and Buffalo's entire preseason. The 26-year-old Peters -- who underwent January sports-hernia surgery and had little contact with the Bills thereafter -- will not play in the team's opener this Sunday against Seattle.

Commentary:
Left tackle is among the most important positions in football, and the Bills would've taken quite a hit had the Pro Bowler sat the entire season (as he threatened to do). Peters has three seasons remaining on a five-year deal he signed in 2006, and the former Arkansas tight end's agent, Eugene Parker, reportedly will negotiate a new contract with the Bills as the '08 campaign progresses.

Once the former undrafted free agent officially returns to the lineup, current LT Langston Walker will shift back to the right side -- where he succeeded in 2007.

Fantasy Football Impact: Peters' return will have no effect this weekend, but it'll ultimately help stud running back Marshawn Lynch and wide receiver Lee Evans reach their fantasy potential this year.
