Throughout the years, the Bills have been a thundering herd of blunderers. For a moment, forget the distant past. Make your ascending list of the stupidest moves made by the Bills leading us to where we are now in the 2009 season. [For those without a vocabulary: Biggest # = stupid, but not killer. Smallest # = ultimate killer, Anton Chigurh].

Here’s mine:

7th - infinity: The pickings are ripe, but who has the time?
6th: Using the #11 draft pick on Aaron Maybin.
5th: The firing of Schonert and Walker, and the promoting of Long Belt and Bell at the stroke of midnight.
4th: Not acquiring a strong side linebacker to replace Keith Ellison.
3rd: Not finding a quality replacement for Jason Peters before, during or after his trade.
2nd: The inability of Overdorf, et alia, to reach a deal with the Jason Peters Entity.
1st (most stupid of all): Not totally cleaning house (coaching staff and front office) after the mind-boggling collapse during the 2008 season.
