During training camp the Buffalo Bills' second-round draft pick, receiver Roscoe Parrish, injured his wrist diving for an overthrown pass. This was a major blow for the Bills since Parrish was expected to be an immediate contributor as a slot receiver and a punt returner. He had surgery in August and missed all of the pre-season as well as every regular season game thus far.

After missing the team's first five games, it appears that Parrish may finally be ready to make his NFL debut. His cast has been removed and he is back to practicing with the team at full speed. Before his injury, Parrish looked to be transitioning smoothly into the Bills' offense and it looked like he would unseat incumbent slot receiver Josh Reed. Buffalo's offense could certainly use him as Reed continues to be unspectacular.

Parrish was Buffalo's first pick in this past April's draft since they didn't have a first-round selection. He was a star player at the University of Miami as he caught 43 passes for 693 yards in his final year there. He also added 8 receiving touchdowns and was one of the nation's best punt returners. At 5'9, 170 pounds, with 4.3 speed, he reminds many in the football world of a younger version of former Miami receiver/punt returner, Santana Moss, who made a name for himself as a member of the New York Jets and now the Washington Redskins. If Parrish returns this week against the Jets, it would add a much needed spark to the offense and the Buffalo Bills' return game. With his speed, he will give opposing nickel cornerbacks fits.
