Hard to believe we have hit the half way point of the NFL season. The Bills have us teased again with a 3-4 record and a possible victory coming up against a beatable schizophrenic Houston team.

Does it seem that Dick does his best coaching under the most adverse of conditions? It’s the 2nd year out of his 4 years of tenure that the team has been depleted by injuries but yet find a way to win. Do these injuries give him a reason to be ultra conservative to the point of victory? Even Houdini would be proud the way the Bills pulled off their last 2 wins, on the road no less—giving up 318 yards on the ground to the Jets and winning and giving up a total of 425 yards to the Panthers with only having a total offensive output of 167 yards----WTF!!!! It has to be magic, a sprinkle of fairy dust, voodoo, guardian angels or did Dick sell his soul for a couple of victories. All I know is that the season may bring us a few more victories and of course a few crushing defeats and leave us feeling deflated as we march along towards another 7-9 season. Can we stand the ambiguity of another 7-9 season, it’s sh#t or get off the pot time—C’mon either improve or drop back. Another 7-9 season equals another number 11 pick in the draft we been there done that for 3 straight years!!!

Why is that Dick seems to have such a hard time winning when the Bills and the other team is on Par with each other---I don’t get it. Maybe my mind has gone numb to what a good coach he is and I just don’t see it. Just when we’re ready to put the last nail into his coaching career in Buffalo he pulls off a couple of unBillievable victories.

I’m so confused I should be happy and savior the victories but for some reason it is giving me such a blah feeling knowing that we’ve been thru this the last three years it all seems like Déjà vu !!

The Bills remind me of a song by the Platters:

Oh-oh, yes I'm the great pretender
Adrift in a world of my own
I've played the game but to my real shame
You've left me to grieve all alone
