Although Buffalo Bills running back Willis McGahee missed his second practice in a row with a tender right leg, the Bill's continue to confidently say that he's expected to play in this weekend's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.

This past weekend, in the first quarter of the Buffalo Bill's pre-season opener against the Colts, defensive lineman Larry Tripplett awkwardly pulled down McGahee from behind during a play. McGahee then limped off the field but returned for the next series of downs. After that series McGahee did not return to the game. From the sideline, it appeared as if McGahee had hurt the knee area. The third year running back declined to comment about any injuries, saying only that he expects to play against the packers this weekend, and referring all other questions about a possible injury to Coach Mularkey.

Willis McGahee was one of the most controversial first round draft picks in 2003, as he was still recovering from surgery from a devastating knee injury that occurred during the national college championship game. After a dedicated rehab and only one season on the sideline, McGahee returned in the 2004-2005 season to shine and contribute to the Buffalo Bills in a major way. At the end of the season, all of the naysayers who commented on Mcgahee being a bad pick seemed very quiet. Over 1100 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns seemed to be the silencing factor.
