McMichael and Geiser headline BC recruiting class

The Boston College Eagles snagged two top-notch recruits and total of 20 overall signees earlier this week.

Their biggest catch was 6-5, 237 TE Jordan McMichael out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He is considered to be one of the top tight end prospects in the nation and should bolster the Eagles passing game for years to come. However, their second biggest catch, long snapper Jack Geiser out of Dallas, might have been an even more crucial signing. Geiser, who is considered a 5-star recruit at his position, was a key signing because just days earlier Boston College found out that it had lost out on another blue chip long snapper out of Texas, Justin Drescher, when the youngster decided to stay closer to home and play for Colorado.

In a somewhat ironic twist, the Boston College Eagles were also able to sign another Flutie at the quarterback position. Billy Flutie, who is the nephew of former Boston College great Doug Flutie, was one of the 20 signees on Wednesday. If the 6-2, 176 pound signal caller can be half as good as his more famous uncle the Eagles will have a very successful run over the next few years.
