Broncos S John Lynch told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Sunday that 2008 is "probably my last year."

Lynch came into the league in 1993; since, he has been to nine Pro Bowls and has been an All-Pro twice in his career with the Broncos and the Buccaneers. The offseason acquisitions of Marquand Manuel and Marlon McCree could mean Lynch won't even start for the Broncos this season.

Commentary: Lynch was reported to be on the fence about retiring going into the 2007 season, and he told the Star-Telegram that he plans to take it year by year. Lynch, one of the most respected players in the league, is the defensive leader of a Broncos team that suffered greatly against the run last season. It'd be interesting to see where he would fit on the 2014 Hall of Fame ballot if he does retire after this season.
