When the Denver Broncos host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, they’ll be doing it without starting running back Selvin Young and tight end Tony Scheffler.

Both Young and Scheffler reportedly suffered groin injuries in the Tampa Bay game, joining Ebenezer Ekuban in groin-related woes and really begging the question of what’s up in that area in Bronco Land.

While Ekuban is now listed as probable, Eddie Royal, who has sat out some practices with a bone bruise and has received X-rays on the ankle, is still questionable.

On the plus side, Darrell Jackson is expected to return after missing four games and filling out the roster at tight end will be recently signed veteran journeyman Chad Mustard.

Fantasy Football Impact: Picking up the slack for Young, third highest on the Broncos in total yardage, will be Michael Pittman and Nate Jackson. Pittman has already been a decent bye-week replacement/low-end starting RB for fantasy owners with four TDs this season; Young only has one score. If anyone scores a goal-line touchdown against Jacksonville, reckon it’s going to be Pittman.

Rocky Mountain News has reported that heretofore fantasy football darling Royal will be kept off special teams even if he does play at wide receiver, a slight consideration for those holding the Denver ‘DST’. As for who will get the yards at receiver, your guess is as good as anyone else’s. Jay Cutler should rack up some good stats, though, as the Jaguars' defense currently ranks 29th against the pass in terms of TDs and yardage.

Fan Pulse: They’re starting to feel it in Denver. Over at, poster Dortoh put up the site’s first Lombardi Trophy picture in anticipation of the Broncs’ Super Bowl XLIII win. Optimistic to the point of cocky, perhaps, but it would be nice to see the title dedicated to the memory of Darrent Williams.
