The Denver Broncos have elected not to match Kelly Herndon's offer sheet. The Seattle Seahawks tendered cornerback Kelly Herndon a 5 year deal worth $15 million - including a $4.5 million signing bonus - last week.

NFL teams have 7 days to match any offer made to restricted free agents. The Broncos will not receive a draft pick as compensation for losing the free agent since Herndon was originally an undrafted rookie in 1999.

Primarily a nickel back who split time at right CB with Lenny Walls in 2004, Herndon finished the year with 67 tackles, 2 interceptions and 21 passes defensed. In his 3 year career, he has recorded 138 tackles, 6 INTs, and 35 passes defended in 45 games played for Denver.

In Seattle, Herndon will compete for the starting right CB spot.
