The Denver Broncos added veteran linebacker Keith Burns. The 12 year veteran has designs to join the Broncos' coaching staff this year.

The 6'2", 235 lbs. LB led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004 with 23 special teams tackles while forcing 1 fumble.

The former Oklahoma State Cowboy played for the Broncos initially from 1994 to 1998 before joining the Chicago Bears in 1999. Burns returned to Denver from 2000 to 2003. He has 213 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, and 6 opponent's fumbles recovered in 167 games.

Burns is infamous for receiving a vicious crack-back block from LB Ray Lewis on a botched field goal attempt. The hit was captured on Monday Night Football in 2002; it enabled CB Chris McAllister to convert the missed kick into a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens.
