Broncos get Michael Myers and Ebenezer Ekuban from the Browns

The Denver Broncos acquired defensive tackle Michael Myers and defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for running back Reuben Droughns. The Broncos have continued to accumulate Cleveland defensive linemen at the request of position coach Andre Patterson.

In 2004, Myers totalled 33 tackles, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery and 1 forced fumble. The 6'2", 300 lbs. DT is a former University of Alabama star who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1998 to 2002 before signing with the Browns in 2003. He has 194 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 10 deflected passes, 4 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries in 91 games over 7 seasons.

Ekuban amassed 37 tackles, 8 sacks, 2 deflected passes, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries in 2004. The ex-North Carolina Tar Heel was a first-round pick for the Cowboys in 1999. He spent the first 5 years of his career with the Cowboys before signing with Cleveland in 2004. The 6'3", 275 lbs. DE has 147 tackles, 20.5 sacks, 3 deflected passes, 6 forced fumbles, and 5 fumbles recovered in 76 games over 6 years.
