The Denver Broncos re-signed defensive tackle Luther Ellis and tight end Patrick Hape.

It has been an extremely active offseason for the Broncos, who have added defensive linemen Michael Myers, Ebenezer Ekuban, Gerard Warren and Courtney Brown. In addition, Denver has signed TEs Stephen Alexander and Jeb Putzier.

The 6'5", 318 lbs. Ellis played in 8 games with the Broncos in 2004, registering 7 tackles and 2 sacks. The University of Utah product was a Detroit Lion from 1995 to 2003. In 134 games, he has totalled 322 tackles, 29 sacks, 16 deflected passes, 5 forced fumbles, and 7 fumble recoveries.

The 6'4", 262 lbs. Hape played 16 games during 2004, finishing with 8 catches for 35 yards and 4 touchdowns. A former member of the Alabama Crimson Tide, he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1997 until 2000 before joining Denver in 2001. In 124 career games, Hape has caught 51 passes for 287 yards and 11 TDs.
