Browns starting right guard Ryan Tucker will be sidelined until the regular season after undergoing surgery for a fractured hip.

He suffered the injury during organized team activities last week in Cleveland, and the surgery took place May 16.

Commentary: Tucker's injury throws one of the league's top offensive lines in a bit of a loop early on. The Browns retained Gs Seth McKinney and Lennie Friedman, plus they signed free agent Rex Hadnot from Miami to provide depth along the interior. Browns coach Romeo Crennel had declared Tucker the starter going into 2008.

Fantasy Impact: The Browns added depth this offseason with Hadnot and the decision to keep Friedman and McKinney now proves to be a wise one. The two mainstays, LT Joe Thomas and LG Eric Steinbach, are enough to help anchor one of the strongest offenses in the game, with or without Tucker.
