The Cleveland Browns released offensive guard Kelvin Garmon. He had 2 years left on his contract with the Browns.

Garmon injured his medial collateral, anterior cruciate and posterior ligaments in his right knee against Baltimore in November 2004.

The team also re-signed punter Derrick Frost and defensive back Dyshod Carter to 1 year contracts.

Frost had an average of 40.0 yards per punt. Free agent Kyle Richardson was brought in earlier in the offseason to compete for the starting job. The Northern Iowa product is entering his third year as a pro with Cleveland.

Carter appeared in 11 games during 2004, recording 14 tackles and 2 deflected passes. In 4 years with the Browns, the Kansas State University product has accumulated 16 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.
