The Cleveland Browns released veteran safety Earl Little. He was an outspoken player off the field who had several run-ins with Butch Davis, his former coach in college and the pros.

The 6'1", 205 lbs. defensive back had 51 tackles, 1 interception, 4 deflected passes, 1 forced fumble, and 1 recovered fumble in 16 games during 2004.

A former standout for the University of Miami Hurricanes, Little played for the New Orleans Saints in 1998 before joining the Browns in 1999. In 7 years as a professional, he has registered 308 tackles, 1 sack, 18 INTs, 19 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
