Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow II suffered internal injuries from a motorcycle accident he suffered over the weekend. According to published reports, Winslow was thrown from his motorcyle after hitting a curb on Sunday.

The Browns released a statement saying Winslow suffered some internal injuries, which are stable. The player also has inflamations on his right shoulder and knee. The extent of those injuries will not be known until the swelling subsides.

Winslow played 2 games in his rookie season after breaking his right leg in Week 2 when a teammate inadvertently ran into him trying to recover an onside kick. The heralded TE has had 2 leg operations on the injured leg.

The former University of Miami star was the sixth overall pick of the 2004 draft. He signed a 6 year, $40 million deal with the Browns. However, Winslow lost a $5.3 million bonus due to the leg injury.
