The Cleveland Browns have signed their third round pick, Charlie Frye. The former Akron Zips quarterback has signed a four-year deal. Frye was the fourth quarterback to be taken in this year's NFL draft after Alex Smith, Aaron Rogers, and Jason Campbell. Frye says that he has been a lifelong Browns fan and looks forward to joining the team.

The Cleveland Browns have now signed all of their draft picks except for #3 overall pick Braylon Edwards. They hope to have the former Michigan receiver signed by the time they open training camp on July 29th.

Charlie Frye has an outstanding career at Akron. He threw for nearly 12,000 yards in four seasons at the helm. Some scouts had him pegged as a possible first round draft pick, but he ended up falling into the Browns' lap early in the third round. Frye is not the first Akron player to break into the NFL. All-Pro defensive end Jason Taylor, among others, is a product of the school.
