The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed wide receiver Ike Hilliard. The veteran player hopes to compete for a position on the other side of Michael Clayton as the #2 receiver.

Hilliard was a significant contributor to the 1996 national champion University of Florida squad. Two other receivers from that team - Reidel Anthony and Jacquez Green - played previously for the Bucs.

The 5'11", 210 lbs. Hilliard caught 49 passes for 437 yards but no touchdowns in 16 games during 2004. In 8 seasons with the New York Giants, he has recorded 368 receptions for 4,630 yards and 27 TDs in 98 games.
