L.T. doesn’t equal TD anymore—and that’s a good thing

If you're a fantasy football owner of Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, you're probably banging your head against a wall right now. Why? Because Tomlinson, who's been banged up, has rushed for a disappointing (by his standards) four touchdowns this year. But the Chargers are finding out that distributing the end zone touches throughout the offense makes them a much stronger squad. The New England Patriots can agree with that. They took a 30-10 beating Sunday night during a game in which L.T. didn't score.

Currently, wide receiver Chris Chambers leads the Chargers with five touchdowns. That's evidence that Tomlinson's dominance along the San Diego offense has dissipated somewhat.

It's only been two years since Tomlinson scored an NFL-record 31 touchdowns in a season that solidified the Chargers as a Super Bowl contender. Unfortunately for Tomlinson and friends, they suffered playoff losses at the hands of the Pats in the past two seasons. It wasn't much consolation for the Chargers to beat a Tom Brady-less New England team, but there is room for hope that the Chargers can win the AFC West now that they are only one game back from Denver at 3-3.

Fan Pulse:
The leaders of the Charger support group are thrilled with a pass-first, run-second game plan: http://forums.chargers.com/showthread.php?t=59415.

Fantasy Football Commentary:
I'm not telling you to jump off the L.T. bandwagon yet, but consider trading him for the right player.

Injury Watch: Chambers missed Sunday's game with a hurt ankle. His status is questionable heading into Week 7.
