Offensive lineman John Welbourn of the Kansas City Chiefs was recently found in violation of the NFL's drug policy, and has been issued a four games suspension as a result. He was reportedly using steroids.

The Kansas City Chiefs picked Welbourn up as a reserve guard in 2004 from the Philadelphia Eagles. This season, he played in the exhibition loss against St. Louis Rams, but until the end of his suspension, Welbourn will not be eligible to practice or play. The earliest date for Welbourn's return won't be until October 16, when the Chiefs play Washington Redskins.
