It's hard to imagine seeing Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez in another uniform, but it's likely to be the only major deal made by Tuesday's 4 p.m. NFL trading deadline.

Gonzalez has never won a playoff game, and that's something with which he takes exception. One team that has won its last four playoff games, the New York Giants, reportedly offered a sixth-round pick for the frustrated Chiefs star. The Chiefs countered with a request for a third-round pick.

Gonzalez has 21 catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns for the beleaguered Chiefs, who are 1-4 after their bye in Week 6. A youth movement is clearly underway, and it doesn't seem anyone is against the trade. It's a matter of compensation.

Fans on the Chiefs Crowd message board are asking themselves if they've seen the last of Gonzalez in a Chiefs uniform.

One poster says Gonzalez's value is far higher than what the Giants were reported to have offered, but mostly because of what the Giants have in picks.

"He is at least worth a 2nd rd pick! If the NYG are a team that is interested......they have two 2nd rd picks. I would push for both of their 2nd rd picks!"

Along with the Giants, the Packers and Eagles are two teams that have been mentioned as possible suitors for Gonzalez. While the deal is far more likely to be for draft picks rather than players, one poster suggests Philadelphia may be able to offer up something the Chiefs can use now.

"I would def be for trading TG for (Eagles cornerback) Lito Sheppard."

The root of the issue with Gonzalez is being discussed as well. Chiefs fans are never quiet about their general manager, Carl Peterson, and head coach, Herm Edwards. While Gonzalez is the one likely to be traded, one poster wonders about the status of their general management.

"With all of this talk of trading Tony for the good of the Chiefs, and honestly for his own good, one can't help but recall the "rebuilding" statements we've all heard for so long. If we're rebuilding this team from the ground up this fan can't help but wonder when do we, the fans, get to trade Carl and Herm? God knows it's the only way were moving up from here."
