Seems that Az-Zahir Hakim won't sign with the Kansas City Chiefs after all. The team had announced that the two sides agreed to a one year deal earlier this week. Now Dick Vermeil has announced that Hakim and his agent have decided to look elsewhere for employment. According to the Chief's head coach the veteran receiver feels that he would be a better fit elsewhere.

Vermeil admitted disappointed over the fact that they could not come to terms with Az-Zahir Hakim. The speedy receiver could have taken the place of the recently departed Johnnie Morton. Morton was cut a few weeks ago after posting a lackluster season. The Chiefs are now considering bringing in former Philadelphia Eagles receiver Freddie Mitchell.
