Last season after the terrible loss to Wake Forest, Clemson said goodbye to Tommy Bowden, and hello to Dabo Swenney. Clemson improved to 4-2 in the last six games, but lost in the Gator Bowl to Nebraska in a closely hitting contest. Dabo got the head coaching job by beating South Carolina, not by losing to Nebraska in the Gator Bowl. So will Clemson improve this year? The answer is yes!

Last year the offensive linemen was hit with the major injury bug, that resulted in having inexperience lineman come in to take on the opposing defensive line. As a result, Clemson ended up with a 7-6 record, but this year it'll be different. The return of CJ at running, a healthier offensive linemen, Jacob Ford and Xavier Dye are the returning key in the receiving corp, great defensive line are back as well, but the major question is who will be the starting quarterback for Clemson? We'll know soon, till then here's why Dabo Swenney will take Clemson to the next level.

Clemson first goal is to win the National Championship, that may not happen against Georgia Tech, or against TCU; so the next goal is win the Atlantic Division. Dabo brings in the fire that was going out on Tommy Bowden in the last game he coached against Wake Forest. Even though it'll be a tough lost to Georgia Tech, I predict Clemson will the Atlantic Division, where comes the next step, go to the Orange Bowl. Now who will Clemson play against in Tampa is a toss up: Virginia Tech is a tough team in the ACC, and got a game against Alabama at the Georgia Dome. Georgia Tech with coach Johnson has a option play that makes Georgia, and Clemson dizzy last year. North Carolina under Butch Davis can take the tarhells to the next level. With those three teams, Clemson will have a tough time against them in Tampa, but If you were to twist my arm, I will say that Clemson will be going to the Orange Bowl beating any of those three team because of the fire, and intense that Coach Dabo Swenney have installed in the Tigers that's been long overdue.

Next time, I'll run down the Tiger's schedule, and pick who will win.
