The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs handed the New Mexico Lobos their first shutout since 2002, with a dominating 37-0 shellacking in Fort Worth.

Lobo running back Rodney Ferguson was held to 28 yards on 13 carries (81 yards below his average) and the entire New Mexico offense was held to 119 total yards by the swarming TCU defense. The Frogs controlled the clock with nearly 37 minutes of possession in the game to 23 minutes by the Lobos.

Commentary: Reduced to playing the spoiler in Mountain West Conference play, TCU pushed New Mexico two games out of first place with three games to go. If the Horned Frogs had played at this level all year long, they would be undefeated in the MWC heading into next Thursday's contest at BYU. As it is, they are still playing the role of a spoiler and will try to stop the Cougars' 12-game winning streak in conference play.
