Texas quarterback Colt McCoy scored a total six touchdowns, four passing and two rushing, to lead the Longhorns over the Red Raiders 59-43 in Austin. His counterpart, Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell went 36-of-48 for 466 yards and five touchdown passes to give Texas a good scare.

Entering the fourth quarter Texas led 35-20 with Graham and McCoy locked in a shootout. In the final quarter alone, Graham threw three of his touchdown passes and twice connected on two-point conversion passes while McCoy tossed two touchdown passes and ran 22 yards for another score.

Commentary: Talk about playing a full four quarters of football, both teams did just this. The high score, namely the massive amount of points in the final period, was indicative of exhaustion for both teams' defenses. Although chances are neither team will be getting a spot in the Big XII title game, this should go down as one of the most exciting conference games this season.
