Florida State quarterback Drew Weatherford, who sustained a concussion during the team's 40-21 loss to Virginia Tech last Saturday, says he feels better.

"As far as I know I'm good to go unless I have problems during the week," said the junior quarterback. "As of right now, they are going to be cautious. But I feel really good."

Head coach Bobby Bowden and offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher are indeed cautious.

"When I think about it and think through the process I'll make a decision," said Fisher.

Weatherford stated he felt fine after Monday's workout and is listed as probable for this Saturday's matchup against Maryland.

Commentary: It's clear no one will know the severity of the concussion until the mid part of this week, so it's wait and see for now. That said, if there's a chance Weatherford is indeed healthy enough, he does need to start against Maryland just to give the offense more consistency. However, if he's not, Weatherford's primary backup, Xavier Lee, is off suspension and should be available to take his place.
