Wide left keeps Tennessee’s SEC title hopes alive

The Tennessee Volunteers engineered a 16 point fourth quarter comeback on Saturday to defeat the Vanderbilt Commodores by a score of 25-24.

Commentary: Though the Commodores nearly won the game after a 55-yard kickoff return by D.J. Moore put their offense in a position to win; in the end Bryan Hahnfeldt's 49-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left with 33 seconds left and Tennessee escaped with a narrow victory.

On the day, Tennesse quarterback Erik Ainge completed 28-of-43 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns. With the victory, the Volunteers kept their SEC title hopes alive.
