Virginia Tech cornerback Brandon Flowers announced his intentions of forgoing his senior year in Blacksburg and entering this April's NFL draft.

Flowers' basis for this move is his NFL projection, which he believes is the second round.

Flowers was made the AP's All-America second team his sophomore and junior years, and he was the third-leading tackler on the team with 86. He was also tied for team leader in interceptions with five.

Commentary: Smart move given his predicted draft round. He would likely be a good pick for teams with mediocre or poor pass defenses, such as Atlanta, Cincinnati or St. Louis.
