Quarterback Chase Daniel, tight end Chase Coffman and three other juniors who were considering jumping to the NFL have now decided against it and will return to Missouri to play their senior seasons.

The other three returners are free safety William Moore, defensive end Stryker Sulak and defensive tackle Ziggy Hood.

"These are all high-caliber football players," coach Gary Pinkel said. "Having them here is obviously a huge positive for us going forward."

Daniel was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and finished fourth in the Heisman voting; Coffman is the school's career leader in touchdown catches with 20; Moore tied for the nation's interception leader this past season with eight; Sulak totaled six sacks and made second-team All-Big 12; and Hood was honorable mention for All-Big 12.

Commentary: This is nothing short of great news for Pinkel and Missouri fans. If these five decided to pursue the NFL, chances are the team would have suffered in 2008. No team loses five stars like these and rebounds with no problems.
