Florida State linebacker Geno Hayes announced he will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Coach Bobby Bowden earlier stated he hoped Hayes would stay on to improve his draft stock, but later said, "I know he has the ability to play at that level. It is just a matter of time."

Hayes was the team's second-best tackler this past season and made first-team All-ACC.

Commentary: Hayes could go as early as the second round of April's draft.
