Four football players, including starting quarterback Jameel Sewell, are not enrolled in classes this semester at the University of Virginia.

Joining Sewell are cornerback Chris Cook, linebacker Darnell Carter and receiver Chris Dalton.

If this in fact means the four players are academically ineligible, it would prevent them from participating in spring practice a few short months from now.

Commentary: This is quite a bump in the road after coach Al Groh's team finished 9-4 (6-2 ACC) last season, the Cavaliers' best overall mark since 2002. This is particularly important in Sewell's case because he was a huge reason for the Cavs' success last year and would only stand to improve as he matures.
