The University of South Florida now has a little something extra to offer its upcoming class of recruits -- a trip to Notre Dame.

The catch is, it's not until 2011, when the incoming freshmen will be seniors.

USF Athletic Director Doug Woolard and head coach Jim Leavitt announced Wednesday that the Bulls football team had reached an agreement to travel to South Bend on Nov. 19, 2011.

"Our football program and fans deserve this type of matchup," said Woolard. "It features one of the most storied programs in college football history against a young program that has risen to prominence at a record pace."

The same season, South Florida has Miami at home.

"Games like this are what you work so hard for," Leavitt said in a press release from USF. "They help further the image of this program and they present a great opportunity for our fans and players. The future of USF football is bright."

Commentary: Obviously, the Notre Dame mystique has survived one of its worst seasons ever.

Wonder if Charlie Weis will still be coaching there in 2011?
