Pitt quarterback Bill Stull, the latest "victim" of the Rutgers defense, remains questionable for Saturday's game with Notre Dame.

Stull was hurt in the third quarter last Saturday when he was hit by Scarlet Knight freshman defensive back David Rowe as he released a pass. The impact knocked the Panther quarterback off his feet, and he banged his head on the back of RB LeSean McCoy. The junior was taken off the field on a stretcher with a concussion, but was released from Presbyterian
Hospital in Pittsburgh the next day.

The week before, Connecticut quarterback Zach Frazer suffered a concussion against Rutgers, as did West Virginia's Pat White two weeks prior. No personal foul penalties were assessed on any of those plays, and Rutgers coach Greg Schiano called it "just an unfortunate set of circumstances."

"It's not we're coming in trying to get a helmet-to-helmet hit on a quarterback," Scarlet Knight D-tackle Pete Tverdov told the Newark Star-Ledger.

With Rutgers still in the fight for a bowl berth after seemingly recovering from a brutal start, Stull's injury forced Schiano to burn the redshirt on sophomore QB Pat Bostick, who came in to complete 6 of 11 passes for 69 yards.

Bostick is expected to start against Notre Dame if Stull fails to pass muster from team doctors.
