Like a big-time gambler at the craps table, Texas Tech kept rolling 7s. The No. 2 Red Raiders scored seven points on seven straight possessions to blow away 11th-ranked Oklahoma State 56-20 on Saturday. The win not only extended Texas Tech’s undefeated streak to 12 games, but it also kept coach Mike Leach and company in the thick of the BCS chase.

After a Graham Harrell fumble, the Cowboys struck first as Kendall Hunter scored on a 2-yard run less than three minutes into the contest. But Harrell and his receiving corps, led by Michael Crabtree, went straight to work without any interruptions other than halftime. Oklahoma State squeezed in a couple more touchdowns, but the Red Raider scoring machine didn't shut down until early in the fourth quarter with Tech leading 49-20.

Crabtree, who virtually nailed down his second consecutive Biletnikoff Award, finished the game with eight catches for 89 yards and three touchdowns. Harrell, whose stock in the Heisman voting continues to rise, completed 40 of 50 attempts for 456 yards and six touchdowns before his fourth-quarter exit.

The Red Raiders, who have defeated two top 10 teams on back-to-back weekends, get a well-deserved open date this Saturday. But a major obstacle, No. 5 Oklahoma on the road, still looms in Texas Tech’s quest for the Big XII South title and a shot at the national championship.

Texas, which fell 39-33 to the Red Raiders on Nov. 1, stayed in the thick of the chase by blasting Baylor 45-21. The Longhorns moved up to third in the BCS rankings and hold down the fourth spot in the AP Top 25.

Colt McCoy passed for 300 yards, his fourth 300-yard game this season, and five touchdowns with a 26-of-37 performance. Quan Cosby, who suffered a back injury against Texas Tech, returned to snare eight receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

Fifth-ranked Oklahoma warmed up for its rigorous season-ending games with Texas Tech and Oklahoma State by trouncing Texas A&M 66-28. The 66 points represented the largest score ever posted by a visiting team to Kyle Field.

Sam Bradford completed 22 of 33 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns, while DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown ran for 123 and 117 yards, respectively. Brown reached the end zone three times on runs of 22, 5 and 28 yards.

No. 12 Missouri took sole possession of first place in the Big XII North with a 41-24 win over Kansas State. Kansas dropped a game back of the Tigers by losing 45-35 to Nebraska.

Jeremy Maclin, who scored three touchdowns against the Cornhuskers, totaled 278 all-purpose yards. The sophomore wide receiver, who will probably leave Missouri for the NFL after this season, caught eight passes for 118 yards, rushed four times for 84 yards, returned two kickoffs for 57 yards, and handled three punts for 19 yards.
