Clemson loss was no shame

Losing 30-27 to the Yellow Jackets last night might have been a heart-breaker to some fans, but to me it showed this wasn't the same Clemson Tigers team as they were when Coach Bowden was there. I hate to admit it, but I believed in Coach Bowden in the near 10 years he coached for the Tigers; unfortunately, we lost too many games under his tenure that we shouldn't have, and when Clemson was down in some cases like the Virgina Tech 3 yrs ago on ESPN thursday night, they just lay there, and not do a dang gum thing.

What I saw last night made me believe that Dabo is for real, and Clemson lost to Ga. Tech was no shame. In the first quarter when Ga. Tech quickly went up 21-0, I thought to myself "What the hell is Dabo thinking?" I wanted Dabo's head on a platter, and thought "Here we go again." But when Ga. Tech only got a field goal in the second quarter, I realize that the Tiger's defense did their job, and can work this out.

Whatever Coach Dabo said in the locker room at half with Clemson down 24-7 must have work a miracle because in the 2nd half the Tigers's defense came to life stopping the option that the Yellow Jackets do so well, and Kyle Parker showed us why he beat Willy Korn for the starting qb job, even though in the first half I wanted Korn to play because Parker made too many mistakes.

Clemson was up 27-24 in the 4th quarter scoring 27 unanswered points, but Ga. Tech changed plans, and scoring 2 field goals including the winning field goal with under a minute to go. Clemson in one last attempt to get within field goal to force OT, or a winning touchdown was denied by the Yellow Jackets defense, and let me say that Darrell Morgan scares me. He's so damn good I wouldn't be surprise If he's drafted in the 1st round in the NFL Draft.

Clemson didn't take it lying down like they have in the past, and even though they lost, it was a good lost. Why was it a good lost you ask? Because Clemson came back with a vengeance, played great defense in the 2nd half, scoring when it's time, and got the Yellow Jackets on the run.

It's a shame If you get you ass blown out, but as the Undertaker said it best; "There's no shame in getting in a fight and getting your ass kicked." For the Tigers, this lost was no shame, they will use this as a reminder for the rest of the season going up against Boston College next Saturday. Who knows maybe the Tigers and the Yellow Jackets will meet in Tampa for the ACC Championship game with the Tigers coming out on top.
