With 4 games already played, the Tigers are 2-2 with two heartbreaking lost; One to Ga. Tech, and the other to TCU. Clemson made some serious mistakes in the TCU that shouldn't have happen. For one when the Tigers were on 4th and Inches, instead of having a quarterback sneak, CJ should have been handed the ball and bust through to keep the drive alive. The touchdown catch that TCU receiver made over a clemson defender was also key, as well as the missed field goal by Richard Johnson.
So how do the Tigers recover from the lost to TCU? Get back on the field, and play like they got a pair. For the next eight games, Clemson will play the last six conference games, and two non conferences games. Next opponet is Maryland, and let's face it, Maryland is having a rough year. Clemson should capitalize on the Terps to go 2-1 in conference play, then host Wake Forest which they had great success in beating the Demon Deacons at Death Valley 2 yrs back. Miami could be their toughest test up to date as the Hurricanes have managed to pull off some upsets over Florida St. and Ga Tech before losing to Va Tech last saturday. Florida St. is unstable this year losing to Miami, nearly got upset by Jacksonville St., and losing to South Florida, so I think Clemson should have their number. N.C. State is another roadblock that Clemson must overcome to win the Atlantic Title, and finally the last home and conference game is against Virgina which the way Virgina play Clemson should win this easy.
This can be done If the following happens: Kyle Parker playes like he did when he won the starting quarterback job over Will Corn, and start having more completions to receivers. CJ Spiller gets many oppurinity to run the ball as the Tigers try to hype him as a Hesiman Canadiate, and most importantly; Billy Napier finds some new offense schemes than going with the same ol song and dance. It's not too late for Clemson to go 10-2 and win the ACC Atlantic Title for a chance to win the Conference outright, but the clock is ticking, and Dabo is on the clock.
