Last saturday, the ACC got their ass handed to them by the SEC in 3 match ups: Clemson/South Carolina, Florida/Florida St., and Georgia/Ga.Tech. Also North Carolina lost to NC State in the other shocker on Rival Saturday, sent the new bowl projection into a whirlwind, so here's my latest, and final bowl projection for the ACC before the real deal comes out after the ACC title game.
If Ga. Tech wins the ACC title, this is how the line-up looks:
1.Ga. Tech- BCS Bowl
2.Va.Tech- Chick Fil-A Bowl
3.Clemson- Gator Bowl
4.Miami- Champs Sports Bowl
5.Boston College- Music City Bowl
6.Florida St.-Meinke Car Care Bowl
7.North Carolina- Emerald Bowl
The last two bowls are vacant because only 7 of the ACC 9 bowl spots were filled, leaving the last two bowls open to at large bowl teams from other conferences. Also with the Tigers lost to South Carolina, If they fall to Ga. Tech, Va. Tech, not Clemson will be heading to the Chick Fil-A Bowl, and Clemson would rightfully deserve a trip to the Gator Bowl.
If Clemson wins the ACC Title Game, this is how the line-up looks:
1.Clemson- Orange Bowl
2.Ga.Tech- Chick Fil-A Bowl
3.Va. Tech- Gator Bowl
4.Miami- Champs Sports Bowl
5.Boston College- Music City Bowl
6.Florida St.- Meinke Car Care Bowl
7.North Carolina- Emerald Bowl
Same explaination as above in the last paragraph, Ga. Tech's lost to Georgia could put them out of BCS at-large bid. I'm not saying they can't go to either the Sugar, or the Fiesta bowl with 3 losses, but I think there would be other teams with less than 3 losses would be making a pitch to the BCS bowl game.
These are my final bowl proection, I'll let you know If I'm right or not next week.
