Orange vs. Cincinnati Set for Noon on ESPN Regional

Kickoff for Syracuse's game against Cincinnati on Saturday, October 29 is set for Noon. The game, which is Fan Appreciation Day and Parents Weekend, will be televised by ESPN Regional. The game will mark the fourth time the Bearcats have visited the Dome, their first as a member of the BIG EAST Conference. Syracuse has won all three previous meetings in the Carrier Dome, including a 19-7 victory last season.

The Orange was picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST in a preseason poll of media representatives who cover the league teams on a regular basis. Louisville, which begins its first season of BIG EAST competition in 2005, was picked to win the league's football title, receiving 23 of a possible 24 first-place votes. Pittsburgh, which received one first-place vote, was picked to finish second followed by West Virginia third. Connecticut was picked fifth followed by Rutgers, South Florida and Cincinnati.

The 2005 Orange will kickoff the season against West Virginia on “Opening Day" in the Carrier Dome on Sunday, September 4 at 1:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised nationally on ABC. Syracuse will also host Buffalo (Military and Emergency Services Day & Youth Day, September 10), Virginia (Dome 25th Anniversary Celebration, September 17 at Noon), Rutgers (Legends Day, October 15) and South Florida (#44 Retirement and Homecoming, November 12).

The Oranges play its five road games at Florida State (October 1), at Connecticut (October 7) at Pittsburgh (October 22), at Notre Dame (November 19, NBC) and at Louisville (November 26).

In addition., fans can purchase individual game tickets for SU's six home games online only beginning Wednesday, July 20 at 9 a.m. Individual game tickets can be purchased in-person at the Carrier Dome Box Office beginning August 3.
